Frequently asked questions.

Does microblading hurt?

No, we use a topical numbing cream that allows us to provide a comfortable experience while receiving this service. A secondary topical numbing agent is used during the service as well to ensure the microbladed area remains numb and the service to continue seamlessly.

Will I loose my eyebrow hair during the procedure?

No. A handheld disposable tool that is made up of many tiny needles that resemble the shape of a blade is used to hand draw each individual hair. The needles are so fine that they go between your eyebrow hairs without cutting or pulling any out.

What is the upkeep on microbladed/shaded brows?

After the initial appointment and the first touchup, which should take place 1-3 months later, it is recommended to get a touchup every 1-2 years for best looking brows. The frequency of a touchup is also dependent on sun exposure, skin type, and brow color.

Should I get my eyebrows waxed before coming in?

Yes and no. If you get your eyebrows waxed regularly and are choosing to get your brows microbladed to fill in “patchy areas,” then go for it. If you are looking to change the shape of your brows or do not regularly get your eyebrows waxed, then hold off. This way, we can see your natural hair growth pattern.

Will eyelash extensions ruin my natural lashes?

No, using proper technique and high quality products, your natural eyelashes will not be damaged by wearing eyelash extensions. Keep in mind, it is important to have your lash extensions professionally removed once you no longer want to continue getting fills.

How long do Botox and Dysport last?

We recommend scheduling appointments every 3-4 months for both Botox and Dysport. It takes 2-14 days for the neurotoxins to begin taking effect. Then over the following 3-4 months you will slowly regain muscle control in the treated areas.

How do neurotoxins work?

Neurotoxins are injected into your desired area to inhibit the contraction of your muscles in and around these “problem areas.”

Can I schedule my Botox and eyebrow microblading appointments on the same day?

No, you will want to avoid getting your eyebrows microbladed within 3-4 weeks of and neurotoxin injection. The reason we have this rule is to avoid the neurotoxin from changing your face shape and ultimately causing uneven eyebrows.

Will my natural eyelashes fall out while wearing eyelash extensions?

Yes, losing your natural eyelash is a natural body occurrence. Eyelash extensions should not increase the rate at which you lose your natural eyelashes. Our bodies go through a minimum of two “shedding seasons” each year usually in the spring and fall seasons. During these times you will notice that you are losing more lashes than you do at other times of the year. During these times you are still able to safely get eyelash extension fills.
